MARYLAND BLACK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
For more than 40 years, Kenneth White has been a leader in banking and economic development.
He is the senior vice president and relationship manager of Sandy Spring Bank, but he started his career at Bank of America. He launched his own consulting firm, New Day Consulting, to help small businesses and there he designed an entrepreneurial curriculum for a local university and lending programs for multiple institutions, according to a news release from Prince George’s FSC First when he joined its board in 2019. He has also worked for M&T Bank, the Southeastern University’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Revere Bank before its acquisition by Sandy Spring Bank.
“Ken’s passion for business and finance was sparked in high school through a Junior Achievement Program,” FSC First stated.
White brings his leadership and banking experience with him as chairman of the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of Prince George’s FSC First, Leadership Prince George’s, the SBA District Office Quality Circle, the Maryland Commercial Lenders Association, Prince George’s County Board of Social Services and the Maryland Association of Social Services Board Foundation.
White graduated from Potomac College with a Bachelor of Science in management. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Carey School of Business, Minority Leadership Development Graduate Program.
His notable community involvement has been recognized with awards from Leadership Prince George’s, Prince George’s FSC First, Prince George’s Small Business Initiative Alliance and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
