What’s the most important thing you do in your job?
First United Bank & Trust is committed to providing an uncommon commitment to service and solutions for our customers. On a daily basis I ask questions and listen to our customers and associates to provide customized financial solutions to serve their variety of needs. Put simply, I help people.
Who was your most significant mentor, and what did you learn from that person?
The most significant mentor for me professionally was the successor CEO at the bank, Bill Grant. Bill taught me the value of creating a network of people who are willing to listen and support you both personally and professionally. He taught me to surround myself with good people, to teach and mentor them and to take pride in seeing them grow and prosper. .
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
If I weren’t serving the banking industry, I suspect I would still provide financial planning and accounting services. I love working with people and numbers and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from seeing a plan come together and goals accomplished.
