At Curio Wellness, Michael Bronfein is proud to represent a company that is bringing discipline and a science-based approach to the cannabis industry.
An entrepreneur and investor, Bronfein brings experience in creating businesses of scale and providing market leadership focused on innovation. He has founded, co-founded, invested in and grown health care service companies, including NeighborCare, Remedi Senior Care and Sterling Partners.
Bronfein now leads more than 200 scientists, pharmacologists, physicians, horticulturists and agronomists as CEO at Curio Wellness. During the past eight years, the company developed a patient-centered model focused on delivering high-quality, cGMP-certified and plant-based medicine.
“Additionally, I’m proud of the corporate culture we’ve built, one that treats people as more than employees, from a universal living wage to unparalleled educational and professional opportunities,” he said.
Curio Wellness has raised $78 million since its inception and completed major expansions in 2021.
He is committed to expanding diverse participation in the cannabis industry. Internally, that means investing in workforce development and education.
“Externally, we developed an inclusive franchise model, Far & Dotter, and launched a $30M Curio Wellness Investment Fund to provide women, minorities and disabled veterans access to startup capital and operational infrastructure with a three-year path to 100% ownership,” Bronfein said.
Bronfein serves as a board member of the Greater Baltimore Committee. He is also the past Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
