Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC
Alison Schurick is a newly minted partner at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz where she focuses her practice on government investigations, enforcement actions, white-collar criminal defense and high-stakes litigation. When she isn’t practicing law, she is highly involved in initiatives that better the community and her firm.
Currently, she is a participant in Business Volunteers’ Maryland GIVE Fellowship, a 10-month program that focuses on and inspires volunteerism and community engagement in Baltimore. Working alongside 40 other fellows, Schurick is supporting and mobilizing non-profits that provide summer camp and year-round activities for children, providing pre-and post-natal care services to underserved mothers, repairing homes for underprivileged individuals and providing basic personal hygiene items to families.
For the past three years, Schurick has served as her firm’s liaison for their community program, Bakercares, which currently supports Paul’s Place Inc. She was also selected to serve as the Women’s Initiative Leader, where she focuses on recruiting and promoting women attorneys and maintaining her firm’s commitment to developing new opportunities for and mentoring women attorneys.
“I believe my strong work ethic and dedication to my profession and the clients I serve sets me apart from my peers. Additionally, I take on new opportunities with enthusiasm and confidence, even if they present a challenge, or are not necessarily in my wheelhouse,” Schurick said.
