What do you think is the No 1 challenge working women face?
The No. 1 challenge that I personally face as a working mom of three little boys is being physically and emotionally “present” with my family when I am not at work and being “present” at work when I am not at home.
It is far too easy to feel guilty for not working enough, and guilty for not being with my family enough. Challenging myself to be “present” in both roles eases the guilt.
What do you consider your most significant professional accomplishment to be?
On June 27, 2022, a Baltimore County jury returned a $2.4 million verdict in favor of my client in a case that has been going on for nearly three years. My client is a breast cancer survivor, young mother, and wonderful woman. Although the verdict was certainly rewarding, what was even more rewarding was when my client thanked me through tears for “telling [her] story.”
