A go-to attorney for advice, counsel and representation for key major medical systems and other businesses, Alexandra P. Moylan concentrates her practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense and complex commercial litigation.

She was selected as one of The Best Lawyers in America’s 2023 edition. In 2020, she was one of five partners and one counsel named to Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough’s “High Potential” program to support women attorneys and hone their leadership and business skills.

Moylan is a native Spanish speaker with family in El Salvador and Puerto Rico, according to her online biography. She has been involved in the Hispanic National Bar Association, Baltimore City Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association, Maryland Defense Counsel and the Maryland State Bar Association.

She was chosen in 2022 as a fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, a program designed to connect diverse attorneys from preeminent organizations with one another.
Moylan is a seasoned trial attorney who frequently deals with risk assessment and mitigation, professional liability and credentialing issues and defensive litigation.

Moylan graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics and English. She received her Juris Doctor from American University’s Washington College of Law, where she focused on health law and policy as a member of the school’s Health Law Policy Brief. Following graduation, Moylan clerked in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
