David Muncy worked for both plaintiffs’ personal injury firms and an insurance defense firm while in law school. His online biography notes that after working on both sides he decided he would much rather fight for the compensation of injured people than defend insurance companies.
“I take great pride in helping my clients through a difficult time in their lives,” Muncy told The Daily Record in 2015, when he was honored for the top 20 In Their Twenties publication.
Muncy was named partner at the firm in 2017, after working at Plaxen & Adler P.A. for five years. While at the firm, he has tried hundreds of cases in Maryland’s District and Circuit Courts, the Social Security Administration and the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
He was the youngest lawyer in Maryland history to become an officer for the Maryland Association of Justice, serving first as parliamentarian and then elected secretary in 2020, and is now president-elect. The organization is committed to fighting for injured victim’s rights and civil justice.
He has also testified before the Maryland General Assembly on bills that affect the rights of injured victims.
Muncy is also a member of the American Association for Justice and attends several continuing legal education programs around the country each year to become a better trial lawyer. He served as co-chair of the Howard County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
