For nearly 25 years, Julia Arfaa has focused her practice on representing clients affected by catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, birth injuries and families in wrongful death claims.

Throughout her career, she has secured a number of large settlements for her clients including a $21 million verdict against a Baltimore physician and hospital in 2012 regarding negligence during a child’s birth as well as a $18.54 million verdict in 2017 after an individual was not properly resuscitated during a code for a massive pulmonary embolus.

Arfaa holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Smith College and a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University School of Law. She served as a partner at two Maryland medical malpractice focused law firms before founding the Arfaa Law Group in 2013.

Provide life care needs and assistance for people that are catastrophically injured due to medical malpractice.

What is one aspect of your profession you would like to change?
Steering the public perception of attorneys in a more positive direction.
