What’s the most important thing you do in your job?
I help individuals who are in distress and at a very difficult cross roads in their life. My goal is to explain to them their rights, understand their goals and offer the best means to achieve those reasonable goals. I explore the client’s desire to attempt settlement negotiations before litigation. I do everything I can to protect my client from a bullying spouse or one whose demands are unreasonable. I keep my clients fully informed at all stages of negotiation or litigation.
What is one aspect of your profession you would like to change?
Never again to have court trials using any form of Zoom. Not being live and in-person before a judge is a travesty of justice.
