Eric E. McLauchlin draws on more than 25 years of practice in business law. His practice areas in the firm’s corporate and real estate group include advising individuals and businesses on business formation, structures, sales, complex contracts and mergers and acquisitions.
He approaches his clients with empathy and compassion, even assisting them with things like estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives and succession management so that he can help ensure their well-being and protection.
Many of his clients are in the hospitality, health care, technology, professional services and nonprofit sectors. He assists with governmental relations between his clients, Harford County and its municipalities, particularly with economic development efforts. McLauchlin also assists business clients with their day-to-day obligations through employment law.
He graduated from Salisbury University and the University of Maryland School of Law, then served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Stephen M. Waldron in the Circuit Court for Harford County.
He currently serves as the chairperson of the Harford Community College Foundation Board. He is a director of Arrow Child and Family Ministries, Addiction Connections Resource, Inc., Community Foundation for Harford County, the Salisbury University Foundation and the Army Alliance.
McLauchlin is a graduate and former board member of the Harford Leadership Academy, where he was selected from among the academy’s alumni as one if its Top Twenty Leaders.
