Abt Associates was awarded a contract to disseminate research findings of the new National Center for Excellence in Primary Care Research (NCEPCR), the Rockville-based global consulting and research firm said Friday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Focused on the nation’s primary care system, the NCEPCR was launched by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to provide evidence, practical tools and other resources for researchers and evaluators, clinicians and clinical teams, quality improvement experts and health care decision makers to improve the quality and safety of care.

Abt Associates’ contract calls for the firm to produce reports that summarize and synthesize AHRQ’s investments in primary care research, including dissemination and implementation (D&I) research —using human-centered design and equity lenses; increase awareness of NCEPCR and AHRQ’s recent primary care research and implementation by providing webinars and events informed by stakeholders’ needs and engage stakeholders to understand their needs and enhance the dissemination of AHRQ’s primary care work.
