Oxon Hill company wins Shulman Rogers’ inaugural Black-owned business program competition

Potomac-based law firm Shulman Rogers announced Monday that Wave Welcome, an IT services and consulting company, won its inaugural Black-owned business program.

Vennard Wright, owner and founder of the Oxon Hill-based company, will receive free legal support throughout 2023 as winners of the competition.

The business program, launched in 2022 and co-chaired by Shulman Rogers shareholders Michael Lichtenstein and Kimberly Mann, is part of the firm’s commitment to the growth of minority-owned businesses in the Maryland-Virginia-Washington region.

Shulman Rogers offers local, regional and national clients a full range of business and personal legal services. The firm provides sophisticated, comprehensive counsel for clients in a broad array of areas including real estate, corporate and litigation and a host of personal services.
