Ed Lovern

President & CEO, Ascension St. Agnes Hospital

Ed Lovern was named president and CEO of Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in July 2020 with a career spanning more than 25 years in executive roles.

Before his time in Baltimore, Lovern worked at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia serving for seven years as their chief operating officer and executive vice president for more than a decade. He was also the Washington bureau chief for Modern Healthcare magazine and served in leadership positions at Ascension Borgess in Michigan.

He earned a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia.

With a desire to give back, Lovern has given his time to a number of organizations over the years including serving as board chair of the Odyssey Family Counseling Center and a board member for the Jewish Home Life and the Rotary Club of Buckhead, all located in Georgia.
