Craig D. Roswell is dedicated to the legal profession and has a selfless commitment to the community.
A managing partner at Niles, Barton & Wilmer LLP for a decade, Roswell has been a key member of the firm for three decades. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and business law. Through his extensive knowledge, he is able to assist clients with a variety of business and transactional matters.
He is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a member of the Trial Law Institute and recently completed a two-year term as chair of the board of directors of the Law Firm Alliance, a strategic alliance of more than 50 mid-sized law firms with more than 2,500 attorneys from all over the world.
Appointed by then Gov. Larry Hogan in 2020 to a five-year term, Roswell is a member of the Maryland State Ethics Commission. He has served a year term as chair of the commission and has also given his time as a member of the Maryland State Judicial Nominating Commission for Baltimore. Additionally, he was appointed to serve on a government task force established to study insurance of last resort programs in the state.
A Baltimore native, Craig graduated from Loyola High School and Loyola College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Roswell earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
His commitment to the community includes devoting his time to several local nonprofits. Roswell has served on the boards of the B&O Railroad Museum and the Maryland Club. He is also a past board president of St. David’s Day School in Baltimore.
