President and CEO
Associated Black Charities

What product or service do you and your company provide?

Associated Black Charities is a 501 (c) (3) organization that works as an educator, advocate and supporter to eliminate race-based structural barriers and advance long-term solutions that create new opportunities for African Americans to thrive. We envision a world that prioritizes measurable change in the lives of African Americans and works actively toward the elimination of racial disparities resulting in improved outcomes for all.

Professionally, what do you consider your most significant accomplishment to be?

While at The Myositis Association, a patient advocacy organization for a rare disease; I created, branded and executed a successful National Signature Fundraising and Awareness event that was held in more than 10 communities called FUN FIT FLEX. The event brought hope and sustainable revenue to fund the mission of the organization and in its first year secured recording artist Peter Frampton as a national celebrity ambassador. Programs like this tend to require five or more years to hit their stride and this one experienced a large amount of success fairly immediately.
