What is your most significant accomplishment?

The most significant accomplishment for me was the merger with my alumni association, with only $21,000, merging with the No. 1 nursing school in the country, Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, and increasing that initial amount to over $500k today to support nursing education scholarships.

Please share an example of mentoring experiences.

I frequently had nursing students from many schools of nursing shadow me and travel throughout the hospital to observe firsthand exactly what nurses on the job do, say and feel about their work. Being a role model and teacher was very rewarding.

What is your most significant personal accomplishment?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is being a good person and good friend. People know if they ask me to do something, I will and with a positive attitude. I look at things as an opportunity to make a difference to somebody else. The icing on the cake is that I see this same trait in my two children and how they make me proud every day.
