Professionally, what do you consider your most significant accomplishment to be?
While I may have many professional achievements in Maryland’s higher education and economic initiatives, including most recently accomplishing a successful strategic national marketing campaign for TEDCO, my proudest initiative was the Tech Fair I organized with Maryland’s U.S. Sen. Ben Cardin because it addressed an issue close to my heart—tech entrepreneur equity. I was able to pull Fortune 500 tech companies together to connect with entrepreneurs and small business owners from Maryland’s underserved communities.
In what ways are you involved with mentoring?
An adored adult family member, Kim, with intellectual and developmental disabilities inspired me to be an active supporter of the community. Last year, as a board member of CHI Inc., I chaired the Rebranding Committee of the board of advisers and mentored its wonderful CEO through the process. This year, we are launching the new brand, to include a new name and website—WeAchieve.
