The Daily Record's 2023 Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice Law Power ListMANAGING PARTNER

With nearly 40 years of experience as a personal injury lawyer, Robert K. Jenner founded Jenner Law P.C. in 2018 and serves as managing partner.

He previously served as a partner at Freeman & Jenner PC, Greenberg & Bederman LLC and Janet, Jenner & Suggs LLC. He earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from Franklin & Marshall College.

Away from the office, Jenner is a certified master scuba diver and volunteers at Lab Rescue LRCP.

What’s the most important thing you do in your job?

The most important part of my job is to make sure my employees are energized, inspired and rewarded by the work that they do. Employees who are fulfilled by the challenges presented to them, and who enjoy the teamwork of our office, will get the best possible outcome for our clients.

What is one aspect of your profession you would like to change?

I think the antagonism between counsel has reached an all-time high. While there are some exceptions, of course, I’ve found that lawyers are increasingly reflecting the hostility of their corporate clients. Practicing law is hard enough without the animosity-driven nonsense that is more and more the calling card of so many lawyers.

If you weren’t in this profession, what would you be doing?

I’d like to run a philanthropic organization that gives out grants to worthwhile causes. I think that would be fulfilling. And I’d be scuba diving much more, learning about underwater photography and rescuing many more Labrador retrievers.
