The Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) and the Baltimore Development Corporation have opened nominations for the 2023 Mayor’s Business Recognition Award, which honors organizations with an active presence in the six-county Baltimore region that have demonstrated significant leadership and service to improve the quality of life in Baltimore.
This year, the GBC has revamped the annual awards program to highlight companies and organizations that fall within five new awards categories. Three winners will be recognized in each of the following categories, one for small, medium and large companies:
The GBC introduced its multi-year agenda at its May annual meeting, the first since the GBC’s merger with the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore. The agenda includes 12 initiatives to support the organization’s combined role in shaping the region’s econonmic future and driving collective impact for the more than 500 businesses and organizations committed to the region. The initiatives focus on economic opportunity, transportation and infrastructure and collective impact.
Nominations for this year’s awards program can be made through Oct. 11 by filling out the nomination form. The winners of this year’s awards program will be celebrated at an event in December. Event details will be shared, and tickets will be available for purchase, in the coming weeks.
