Towson mixed-use development renovation complete
Ruxton Tower, a mixed-use community located in the Towson area, recently underwent a renovation project worth $4.5 million, Baltimore County real estate firm Hill Management Services Inc. announced.
Peak Management LLC, a property management company based in Lutherville-Towson, completed comprehensive interior and exterior enhancements on the 10-story building located at 8415 Bellona Lane. Peak Management, responsible for thorough apartment unit renovations, acquired the property in 2021.
The multifamily community consists of 146 high-rise apartment units and a 25,000 square foot commercial office space component. An updated design of the exterior façade, in addition to a new landscape and hardscape package, wayfinding signage, clubhouse with a game room, and lounge and fitness center improvements, were included in the renovation efforts.
“Peak Management regularly invests in extensive improvement programs throughout our portfolio to enhance and maintain best-in-class living and working experiences, and assure the long-term performance of assets,” Peak Management vice president Teresa Rosier said.
“We consider Ruxton Tower an iconic project in the Baltimore County marketplace. Given its classic design and outstanding visibility overlooking two major roads, we felt it needed an interior and exterior facelift to modernize the property.”
Built in 1964, Ruxton Tower overlooks Interstate 695, is just off the Charles Street corridor and contains units ranging from 800 to about 1,500 square feet of space. Nearby shopping destinations include The Shops at Kenilworth, Towson Town Center, Towson Place, Towson Commons and Circle East.
According to a release, the exterior grounds of the property added three pickleball courts, a dog park and private walking trail. Ground-level commercial office space is leased to a number of professional services groups, including attorneys, physical therapists, dentists and others.
