Assisted Living Locators opens in Howard County

Assisted Living Locators, a nationwide senior placement and referral service, has launched its Howard County location, the business announced.
Shannon Ross, a senior living adviser, leads the service. A Columbia resident, Ross expanded her business to focus exclusively on communities throughout the county, including Ellicott City.
Assisted Living Locators of Howard County provides no-cost senior placement and referral services to families seeking independent living, assisted living, memory care and in-home care solutions, a release says.
The senior care service also offers one-on-one consultations and customized recommendations for independent living, assisted living, memory care and in-home care providers.
“With the growth of Howard County and the increasing need for trusted senior care guidance, I saw an opportunity to expand my services and better support families in Columbia, Ellicott City and surrounding communities,” Ross said.
“This work is deeply personal to me. Families deserve a knowledgeable advocate who will listen carefully, understand their needs and help them make confident, informed decisions.”
Additionally, the business said Howard County patrons have the privilege of:
- Assistance with community tours
- Receiving guidance navigating financial options and long-term care planning
- Emergency placement support when required
- Ongoing support for families throughout the transition process
