Ravens, Under Armour expand girls’ flag football in Maryland
The Baltimore Ravens continue to advance their girls‘ flag football initiative, announcing an expansion with Under Armour that adds 27 new Maryland high schools ahead of the 2026 season.
With Baltimore County and St. Mary’s County now joining, participation has grown to 132 schools statewide — another step toward eventual state sanctioning. The Ravens‘ total investment has now surpassed $1 million, with each program receiving grant funding to help build sustainable teams, while Under Armour will again supply custom uniforms.
This marks Year Four of a steadily accelerating effort that began in 2023 and has expanded each year since. The long-term vision remains clear: create real, lasting opportunities for female student-athletes to play football across Maryland.
At its core, this isn’t just growth — it’s infrastructure being built, one program at a time. The continued expansion also reinforces how quickly the sport is gaining traction at both the high school and national levels.
