Cheryl Moore-Thomas serves as provost and senior vice president at Loyola University Maryland, where she has led the academic affairs team in revising and renewing the university’s academic portfolio. Aligned with the university’s strategic plan, her team developed several new majors — including nursing, environmental sciences, environmental studies, construction management and forensic accounting — to meet workforce needs and the intellectual interests of students. Academic program development supports individual student needs while also addressing the broader needs of Maryland, the country and a diverse and changing world.
