Dr. Christy Dryer, vice president for academic affairs and provost at Cecil College, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland, an achievement she counts as her most significant personal accomplishment.
Dryer was elected and served as president of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, the national organization representing community college nursing programs. She also serves as a mentor in the organization’s leadership program, offered nationwide to current or aspiring nurse leaders in nursing education. The six-month program requires at minimum a monthly meeting with specific topics and outcomes. She has mentored three individuals who were new associate degree deans or directors and is currently mentoring her fourth nurse leader.
