Keasha N. Haythe
Foundation of H.O.P.E., Inc.
Keasha N. Haythe is the president and CEO of the Foundation of H.O.P.E., Inc., an organization she founded after more than two decades working in economic development. During that career, she witnessed firsthand what young people needed to enter the workforce. The foundation focuses on mentoring adolescent girls, and she has described watching participants progress from sixth grade through 12th grade graduation as a source of great joy.
Haythe mentors economic development professionals as they plan and prepare for the certified economic developer exam. All of those she has worked with have successfully passed and are now certified in the field.
In 2022, she became the first African American woman elected to the Talbot County Council. She ran for the seat four times before winning and has expressed hope that her experience provides encouragement and determination for others.
