Cinemark to open second Maryland theater in Towson in 2014

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Cinemark CEO Alan Stock and developers announced Friday that the international theater chain would be building a 16-screen location at Towson Circle. Five new restaurants are also expected to go up with the theater.

Charles St. M&T Bank hosts ‘Purple Friday’ Ravens rally

The M&T Bank location on S. Charles Street hosted a rally Friday afternoon to get fans excited for the Baltimore Ravens first home playoff game in five years. The team's cheerleaders, its mascot Poe, the marching band and former kicker Matt Stover all showed up to hang with the purple-clad, screaming fans.

Merchandise retailers making the most of Ravens success

Many local Baltimore Ravens merchandise retailers are reaping the benefits of the team's winning season and playoff berth. Dan "The T-shirt Man" McClure, co-owner of Raven Fever, said he's had twice as much business as last year. Foodservice equipment and supplies store DePalo & Sons Inc. is used to a slow first quarter, but sales so far this year have gone hand-in-hand with the Ravens' success, according to president and CEO Tony DePalo.
