Spark Baltimore is a unique coworking space in downtown Baltimore. One of the coolest features of the space is the interconnectedness of the old and new. That can be seen in both the interior design and architecture.
The building itself is more than 100 years old and every time Spark has needed to expand, it’s taken care to preserve the bones and character of the building. The original exposed brick can be found in private offices, industrial-chic beams run through lounges and there are Baltimore-themed murals that were hand-painted by local artists.
Currently, more than 130 companies are working in the space with more than 520 individuals. The space was created and opened in 2016. The Cordish Companies, The Verve Partnership, Owens Painting Company, Vim Deisgn Studio and Ryconn were all involved in creating the space.
Two community lounges are perfect for events, meetings or connecting with coworkers. These community spaces include art from local artists such as Charlie Barton, a selection local craft beer is on tap and there is even a foosball and shuffleboard table.
One of the more unique features in the space, is the Swing Corner. It the perfect work-day oasis that is tucked away and is the perfect space to take a mid-day break from back-to-back meetings or pause to stretch or read during down time.
