The Center Club Willard Hackerman Business Center

As part of The Center Club on the 15th and 16th floors of the Transamerica building,the Willard Hackerman Business Center provides a quiet, comfortable space to get work done.

The club features some of the best views of Baltimore looking out over the Inner Harbor and downtown Baltimore. The business center features lots of individual and small-group places to sit and work or do some reading. A television features the latest news and newspapers, magazines are also available. There’s even a fireplace and plenty of places to plug in to keep your computer or phone charged while working or networking. Before COVID, self-serve beverages of coffee, tea and flavored water were available.

The business center space was opened in 2017.

As part of the COVID-19 pandemic, use of the space is currently limited to two members for a maximum of two hours to allow for social distancing.

Chartered in 1962, The Center Club opened in 1963 on Charles Street. In the past 55 years, The Center Club has transformed from a lunch club for top-level executives from a small number of large corporations to a membership of more than 2,000 men and women from all sizes of industries and enterprises from around the state.

In 1986, the club moved to 100 Light St., where it’s been for more than 30 years. In 2009, it completed a nearly $3 million renovation of the 15th floor. In 2015, The Orioles Pub opened on the 16th floor, thanks to a gift from Orioles owner Peter Angelos. In 2018, the 16th floor was renovated, creating space for corporate and social events of up to 400 people.
