As chairman and CEO of the business law firm Miles & Stockbridge PC, John B. Frisch’s practice focuses on corporate transactional matters including mergers, acquisitions and securities.

“What makes me jump out of bed every day is to empower others and help them achieve their full potential,” he said. “I very much enjoy speaking with clients and helping clients solve problems that are important to them and helping our lawyers and staff develop and grow so that they are able to innovatively and creatively address and solve important problems for our clients and problems in our community.”

He was first drawn to the legal field because of his late uncle, prominent Baltimore criminal defense attorney Phillip M. Sutley. Frisch has worked at Miles & Stockbridge for more than 30 years.

A graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Frisch has been actively involved in its Leadership, Ethics And Democracy (LEAD) initiative. He also gives his time to multiple organizations including serving as chairman for Visit Baltimore and sitting on multiple boards like the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore.

“I am deeply committed to the city of Baltimore and the region. I think it is a fantastic place to live and work,” he said, adding he strives every day to make “Baltimore and the region better.”
