Larissa Johnson has been in Maryland less than three years but already is recognized as a fixture in the climate community in Maryland.

She has served climate change communication and outreach coordinator at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science since 2014.

Previously, she worked at the National Wildlife Federation heading the Maryland Climate Coalition and the NAACP as a climate and environmental justice fellow.

Johnson also serves as a board member at the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, a founding member of Baltimore EcoWomen, and graduate of Emerge Maryland.

“I am a committed, energetic woman who gets things done with a tremendous amount of excitement and passion,” Johnson said.
