CINA: Parents’ history: Credibility

CSA No. 349, Sept. Term, 2013. Reported. Opinion by Nazarian, J. Filed Oct. 30, 2013.

The master and circuit court properly considered the parents’ history with DSS in assessing allegations of domestic violence, substance abuse or alcohol abuse; the father’s credibility in denying those allegations; in light of that history and evidence of ongoing and specific neglect, the court did not err in finding the 6-year-old a CINA and placing her in the temporary joint custody of her grandmother and other caregivers.
