Marc Noren, a member of Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, died of respiratory failure Monday. He was 59.
Noren, a Baltimore City native who focused his practice on family law and civil litigation, joined Adelberg Rudow in 1996 and spent his entire career as a practicing attorney at the firm.
“Not only was he an excellent attorney, but he was also a kind, gentle, fair, honest and ethical person,” said Oren D. Saltzman, the firm’s managing member.
Before attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, Noren managed the Civil Division of the Clerk’s Office of the Baltimore City Circuit Court. He also co-authored the first case management plan for family law cases, and served as a consultant to several committees that studied the possibility of establishing a family court in Maryland.
Later, Noren became chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Family & Juvenile Law Section. He also co-chaired the MSBA Family & Juvenile Section Council Committee on Maryland Rules of Procedure, as well as the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
Noren was active in other bar associations, serving on the Family Law Committee of the Baltimore County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He is survived by his mother, two sons and brother.
