Cylburn Nature Science Camps provide an outdoor experience for kids of many ages. Our camp combines hikes, science lessons, and art projects into a magical experience full of wonder and imagination. In addition to traditional nature camp we offer camp curricula specific to smaller age groups and an Art and Nature Camp. Cylburn’s Nature Camp focuses on the environment and teaches children (ages 5 to 11) knowledge of and respect for nature and their surroundings. They will explore our 200-acre park with counselors who will teach them about the plants and animals they encounter, fungi, weather, watershed issues, ecosystem balances, and more.

Led by local educators in schools throughout Maryland, the weeklong Camp Invention experience immerses elementary school children in exciting hands-on activities that reinvent summer fun. A few featured activities include building original prototypes, creating a personalized motor-powered vehicle and taking apart electronics to construct an epic insect-themed pinball machine. Each lesson explores connections between science, technology, engineering and innovation.
