Schools CEO Alonso named to national governing board

Baltimore schools CEO Andres Alonso has been appointed to the National Assessment Governing Board which sets policy for the National Assessment of Educational Progress. Six others were named to the board. Their terms begin Oct. 1. NAEP is the country’s only nationally representative assessment of student achievement in various subjects.
