Board of Estimates to consider $60K settlement in ex-firefighter’s ADA claim

The city's spending panel is scheduled to consider a $60,000 settlement with a former Baltimore firefighter who claimed he was discriminated against because of his disability. Baltimore city employee sues after Islamic-law marriage not recognized

A Baltimore city employee and observant Muslim has filed suit against his employer for not recognizing his Islamic-law marriage, which he says has left his pregnant wife without health insurance. Former Johnston & Murphy employee sues for age discrimination

A former store manager with Johnston & Muprhy has sued the shoe retailer for allegedly firing him because for being too old. Kristin Fitzgerald, who is in his early 50s, also claims he "was subjected to a barrage of age-disparaging comments" by a supervisor, according to the lawsuit, filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt.
