Howard County’s new five-member council and executive will have to hit the ground running on a $50 million flood mitigation plan for Ellicott City.

County approves $17 million for Ellicott City flood plan

The Howard County Council in a narrow 3-2 vote approved two bills on Monday night that will allocate nearly $17 million toward a controversial five-year flood mitigation plan for Ellicott City.
