Class counsel awarded $33M in attorneys’ fees in Nikita Levy case

A Baltimore judge has awarded the class counsel representing former patients of Nikita Levy nearly $33 million in attorneys' fees, less than half of what they requested from a $190 million settlement with Johns Hopkins Hospital. Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Sylvester B. Cox repeatedly praised the class counsel's efforts and called the settlement "extraordinary."
