Gaithersburg-based GeneDX to launch genetic cancer tests (access required)

Citing the U.S. Supreme Court’s unanimous decision announced Thursday that human genes and naturally occurring DNA are not patentable, GeneDX, a Gaithersburg-based genetic testing laboratory, said it will launch by Aug. 1 a suite of comprehensive genetic tests for inherited cancers, including the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
