PharmAthene results match other vaccine

PharmAthene Inc., an Annapolis-based company that develops biodefense products, reported that its SparVax anthrax vaccine performed as well as the currently licensed anthrax vaccine, BioThrax, in a trial using rabbits. SparVax “provided equivalent protection against lethal aerosol anthrax challenge at the proposed human equivalent dose” to BioThrax, PharamAthene said in a news release.
