A popular Puerto Rican singer-songwriter has filed suit against a local Spanish-language radio station, alleging the station deliberately canceled his appearance at a concert last summer but still used his name and image to promote the event. Don Omar is seeking at least $9 million for breach of contract from WLZL-FM, also known as El Zol 107.9, according to the lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt.
