Rockville bank tapped for N.C. role

Capital Bank, a Rockville-based bank with two branches in Maryland and one in Washington, announced it has acquired most of the assets and assumed the deposits of Pisgah Community Bank in Asheville, N.C. Pisgah, which has a single location in Asheville, was closed by North Carolina banking officials on Friday and its assets and deposits transferred to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. acting as receiver for the failed bank.
