Bethesda cycling studio reopens with new name, same mission

After the Velovoom cycling studio closed due to philosophical differences by owners, co-owner and face of the studio Marc Caputo never gave up hope he could make it work. Six months later, he opened ZenGo Fitness at the same location on Cordell Avenue in Bethesda with new partners. But Caputo's original mission — a synthesis of physical and mental well-being — has not changed.

James Webb telescope model set up at science center

It took contractors about three days to assembly a full-size model of the James Webb Space Telescope at the Inner Harbor this week. The telescope is scheduled to launch in 2018 and scientists, like Project Scientist and Nobel laureate John Mather, are hoping it will make new discoveries of planets, stars, galaxies and the origins of the universe. The model, which will be in front of the science center for a couple weeks, has traveled around the world to garner support and interest in the program.

Nearly a week after staging their first protest at McKeldin Square by the Inner Harbor, participants of "Occupy Baltimore," a group seeking change in the country's economic conditions, have kept the movement alive. With tents, hammocks, sleeping bags, food tables and even a medical center stocked with donated supplies, many seem prepared to stay for a while.

AAI opens up doors to Kamenetz, media for rare tour

AAI Corp., an aerospace and defense company headquartered in Hunt Valley, invited Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and local media in for a rare tour of its facilities Wednesday. AAI’s campus houses manufacturing facilities for a number of its products, most notably its line of unmanned aircraft including the Shadow 200, a workhorse reconnaissance and support plane used extensively by the U.S. military.

‘Occupy Baltimore’ protest held at McKeldin Square

Members of "Occupy Baltimore," a group seeking change in the country's economic conditions, gathered at McKeldin Square by the Inner Harbor on Tuesday afternoon to stage a peaceful protest. Dozens came out to support the cause, some holding signs that read "We are the 99 percent" and "People Before Profits."
