The Daily Record honors Maryland’s Top 100 Women

On Monday, May 9, 2011, The Daily Record held its 16th annual Top 100 Women awards ceremony at the Meyerhoff Theater in Baltimore. Since its inception, the event has honored nearly 1,000 women in Maryland for their leadership and contributions. Twenty-three women were also added to the Circle of Excellence this year, which means they have been honored three times as a Top 100 Woman.

Schaefer takes final tour of Baltimore

William Donald Schaefer, former governor of Maryland and mayor of Baltimore, took a final tour of Baltimore on Monday, one week after his death at age 89. The motorcade went to City Hall, the Inner Harbor and other places in around town allowing people to give a final salute to one of the most influential men in the city's history.
