Holocaust survivors seek apology, full accounting from SNCF

Leo Bretholz escaped from an SNCF train en route to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1942. Nearly 70 years later, the same company that owned that train is seeking a contract to run two MARC lines. Bretholz and others testified Thursday in support of legislation that would require SNCF to fully disclose its role in transporting Jews and other prisoners during the Holocaust.
