April Richardson wears a lot of hats. She runs a small boutique law firm and works as a financial crimes attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
In the latter capacity, she oversees a portfolio of failed banks and assesses the need for criminal prosecution. Previously, she headed the Prince George’s County Mortgage Foreclosure Unit, the first of its kind in the nation.
She is also the owner and operator of a commercial bakery – DC Sweet Potato Cake – and homeschools her son.
