Building STEPS

Debra Hettleman leads Building STEPS, a non-profit group aimed at increasing college access and persistence for minority students, particularly those with science and technology interests.

Each year, Building STEPS helps 125 high school students and more than 400 alumni have participated in the program since it started in 2001.

Ms. Hettleman is board member at the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School.
