Montgomery County Executive’s Office

As an administrative officer for Montgomery County, Fariba Kassiri oversees 15 department directors, including police, fire and rescue, libraries, economic development and others.

She played an important role in the county’s OpenMontgomery initiative to make the county more responsive in delivery of services, and CountyStat, which better uses data for decision making.

She immigrated to the United States from Iran as a teenager and is proud to have become an American citizen.
