District Court for Carroll County

As the only female judge in Carroll County, the Honorable Jo-Ann Ellinghaus-Jones is often called upon to participate in programs with the Women’s Bar Association, engaging in mentoring duties with female attorneys. Ellinghaus-Jones was appointed to the District Court for Carroll County in 1991 and was given a 2015 award for judicial service from the District Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service.

Ellinghaus-Jones earned a bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Baltimore and is a member of Carroll County Y Citizen Leadership Board and the Carroll Lutheran School Board of Trustees.
