Joan Plisko is president of Plisko Sustainable Solutions, a woman-owned business that assists companies with environmental health, exposure assessment and sustainability programs.

Her clients include Clean Health Environmental, which, through the Maryland Patient Safety Center, assists health care providers in cleaning and disinfecting facilities, and Blue Water Baltimore, which is working with MedStar Harbor Hospital to develop a storm water management plan.

She is the former director/technical director for Maryland Hospitals For a Healthy Environment.
