Director of Operations
Joy Howard began working for UPS in 1983 while a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since then, she has held various leadership positions in both engineering and operations. Thirty-three years later, Joy now oversees all UPS package operations for Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia.
She is actively involved in several community groups, including United Way of Central Maryland, where she sits on the Board of Directors. Joy strongly believes that giving back is everyone’s responsibility, both personally and professionally. Among her favorite mantras, “To whom much has been given, much is expected in return.”
